Cybersecurity: The Fundamentals of Information Security

The fundamentals of information security are based on a set of principles and practices designed to protect systems, networks, and data from threats and attacks. Confidentiality, integrity, and availability, often referred to as the CIA triad, are the core pillars of security. Confidentiality ensures that only authorized individuals have access to sensitive information, while integrity guarantees that data remains accurate and reliable, without unauthorized modifications. Availability means that systems and data must be accessible to authorized users when needed.
